Every AHDAM certification is built on the Core exam — Healthcare Appeal Writing Fundamentals — the shared foundation for all specialties.
Add a specialty track
Choose Medical Necessity, Clinical Validation, and/or Coding. Each track has its own exam covering that discipline.
Earn your credential
Pass the Core exam plus a specialty exam to earn that CAS credential — verifiable and shareable on LinkedIn.
Why the Core exam is included. Because every certification requires it, buying any specialty track bundles the Core exam in for free. You never pay for Core separately, and you only take it once — no matter how many specialties you add later.
Study guides are included too. Each purchase comes with the Core study guide plus a study guide for your track — optional prep material to help you get ready. They’re not graded and aren’t required to certify.
